A girl attacked a U.S. Capitol Police officer on Friday morning alongside First Road S.W. in Washington D.C., Capitol Police stated in a press release.
The incident began round 9:30 a.m. when a 25-year-old girl, recognized as Olivia Romero, was strolling across the space carrying a baseball bat.
In line with eyewitness experiences, Romero grew to become agitated when officers approached her and “assumed a batting stance” whereas making an attempt to hit officers with the bat.
Cops tried to take the bat from her, and a scuffle ensued through which Romero bit one of many officers.
After the incident, the girl reportedly claimed she was “arrested illegally” and stated cops attacked her.
Romero was ultimately taken into custody, and costs are pending.
