Tennessee Man Faces Kidnapping and Rape Charges for Assaulting Woman Who Thought He Was a Rideshare Driver

A Tennessee man is going through a number of completely different expenses after reportedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a girl who mistook his truck for a ride-share.

Randall C. Johnson, 49, faces expenses of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape, and aggravated assault with a lethal weapon.

Johnson picked up the 24-year-old girl and her male good friend after leaving a downtown Nashville bar round 2:45 a.m. again in Might.

“The male exited the truck and was attempting to assist the victim from the vehicle when Johnson sped off with the woman still in the pickup,” the Metro Nashville Police Division mentioned in a press launch.

Johnson drove the sufferer to a subject about half-hour away and sexually assaulted her. He introduced her again to Nashville after the assault and dropped her off.

A citizen’s tip led to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
