US Rep. Thomas Massie is going through criticism after tweeting out a holiday-themed photograph of him and his household holding weapons in entrance of a Christmas tree, days after 4 youngsters had been killed in a college taking pictures in Michigan.
Massie tweeted the photograph together with the caption, “Merry Christmas!, ps. Santa, please bring ammo.”
The Republican consultant’s tweet confirmed everybody smiling whereas holding varied forms of weapons within the photograph.
Mother and father of youngsters who had been killed by gun violence had been fast to let Massie know his vacation message was poorly timed.
Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter was considered one of 17 victims killed within the Parkland taking pictures, retweeted Massie’s put up saying,
“@RepThomasMassie, since we are sharing family photos, here are mine.”
Guttenberg shared images of his late daughter and considered one of her gravesite. “One is the last photo that I ever took of Jaime, the other is where she is buried because of the Parkland school shooting,” he defined.
