President Biden Says He’s ‘Angry and Concerned’ Over Rittenhouse Verdict, But ‘Stands By What The Jury Concluded’

With the current acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, many people are left much more puzzled by America’s justice system, whereas sadly, others aren’t stunned in any respect.

Rittenhouse was 17 and white on the day he fatally shot two folks and injured a 3rd. His imagery was usually portrayed within the media as a younger heroic American citizen who seemed as much as legislation enforcement and went out to guard the nation amid the protests in Kenosha final yr.

Many see the inequality within the jurors’ selections. But some might say they noticed it coming, particularly after the choose over the case dismissed the possession of a harmful weapon by an individual below 18 cost in opposition to Rittenhouse, no matter the truth that he was photographed carrying a gun whereas below the age of 18 that tragic day.

But apparently, with all of the details and blatant injustice,  President Biden desires us to imagine America’s “jury system works.” (Which I strongly beg to vary.)

Look, I stand by what the jury has concluded,” Biden mentioned. “The jury system works, and we have to abide by it.”

“While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken,” Biden added in his official assertion.

He then instructed folks to protest peacefully and abide by the legislation following the decision.

“I urge everyone to express their views peacefully, consistent with the rule of law.  Violence and destruction of property have no place in our democracy,” Biden mentioned. “The White House and Federal authorities have been in contact with Governor Evers’s office to prepare for any outcome in this case, and I have spoken with the Governor this afternoon and offered support and any assistance needed to ensure public safety.”

Rittenhouse was discovered not guilty on all counts involving the capturing that killed two males–Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber–and injured Gaige Grosskreutz after he confirmed up with an AR-15 fashion rifle.

He confronted a number of costs, together with first-degree reckless murder, first-degree intentional murder, tried first-degree intentional murder, and first-degree recklessly endangering security.

Till presidents see and admit that we have now a flawed justice system, we are going to proceed to see the blatant inequalities and injustices of these it was set out in opposition to.

That is America.
