Netflix Reinstates Employee Who Spoke Out Against Dave Chappelle

Netflix reinstated an worker who went viral for criticizing the corporate for streaming Dave Chappelle’s new comedy particular “The Closer.”

The worker, Terra Area, who’s trans, was reportedly suspended for attending a quarterly inside assembly for administrators and high-level executives.

“Netflix has reinstated me after finding that there was no ill-intent in my attending the QBR (Quarterly Business Review) meeting,” Area introduced in a tweet including, “I’m going to take a few days off to decompress and try to figure out where I’m at. At the very least, I feel vindicated.” 

Area included a screenshot of Netflix’s assertion on the reinstatement.

“Our investigation did not find that you joined the QBR meeting with any ill intent and that you genuinely didn’t think there was anything wrong with seeking access to this meeting,” the assertion learn. “Additionally, when a director shared the link, it further supported that this was a meeting that you could attend.”

A spokesperson for Netflix confirmed that Area and two different workers who had been suspended for a similar subject have been additionally reinstated however denied that their suspension had something to do with criticism over Chappelle’s particular.

“It is absolutely untrue to say that we have suspended any employees for tweeting about this show,” the spokesperson stated. “Our employees are encouraged to disagree openly, and we support their right to do so.”
