Earlier than DW Books signed on to publish the guide, Simon & Schuster initially mentioned it will publish it. Nonetheless, hours later, the corporate walked again its determination to distribute it.

Again in April, Kentucky state Rep. Attica Scott condemned the information of Mattingly’s guide, saying, “People love to profit off of Black pain and tragedy. It sells.”
On the other aspect, DW Books says they’re okay with shifting ahead with Mattingly’s guide. “Simon & Schuster was too afraid to tell his (Mattingly’s) story, but we’re not,” DW Books Vice President of Publishing Alyssa Cordova instructed The Related Press.
