Avalanche At Washington State Ski Resort Kills 1, Traps 5 Others

A 60-year-old skier is useless and 5 others have been rescued after an avalanche on Crystal Mountain occurred in Washington on Saturday.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Division acquired a name concerning the incident, which occurred within the Silver Basin backcountry space of the mountain, round 11 a.m.

The skier who died in the course of the avalanche was a 60-year-old man, in accordance with KING 5 News. It’s unknown if the opposite skiers have been injured.

A witness mentioned they noticed a bunch of six skiers had change into trapped within the avalanche. Fortunately, the victims have been outfitted with an avalanche beacon, permitting rescuers to “quickly” find them, PEOPLE reported.

“All of the skiers were pulled from the snow, but one was not breathing,” the sheriff’s division mentioned on Fb. “Rescuers attempted CPR, but the skier died at the scene.”
