Ari Lennox says she’s ‘safe’ after being arrested in Amsterdam airport

R&B singer Ari Lennox has given her followers an replace after being arrested in an Amsterdam airport.

“Hey loves I’m safe. Thank you so much for your prayers and love,” the “Pressure” singer, 30, wrote Thursday on Twitter after documenting the incident in a sequence of tweets earlier this week.

Lennox informed followers on Monday that she was arrested “for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.” In one other message, she wrote, “F— Amsterdam security. They hate black people.”

“I just want to go home,” she added in one other tweet. “I’ll never leave my house again.”

Robert van Kapel, a spokesperson for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, a nationwide police drive, informed Reuters that Lennox was taken into custody after allegedly displaying “aggressive” habits towards an airline official, and for allegedly being drunk in public.

“Our unit found a woman full of emotions that wouldn’t calm down,” van Kapel informed the publication. “That’s why she had to be taken into custody.”

Native police informed CBS News that Lennox seemed to be drunk, and was concerned in a dispute with each an airline workers member and a safety officer.

The outlet reported that investigators had been wanting into potential threats made by Lennox that had been allegedly directed to the workers member and a safety officer.

Lennox (born Courtney Shanade Salter) launched her debut studio album Shea Butter Child in 2019, and the track’s title monitor, which options J. Cole, has since garnered greater than 114 million streams on Spotify.
