21 Albums With Single Week Sales Totaling More Than A Million

Within the 30 years since Nielsen Music started monitoring point-of-sales information, solely 21 albums have bought no less than 1 million copies in a single week.

The Bodyguard soundtrack was the primary album to hit the benchmark, promoting greater than 1,000,000 copies in its sixth week after its launch. Taylor Swift’s Popularity was the latest album to promote greater than 1,000,000, which it did in its first week of launch in 2017.

Taylor Swift’s sixth album, Popularity, bought 1,238,000 equal album models in its first week. It was launched on November 10, 2017.
